Editorial Services

I edit poetry, fiction, and scholarly materials. I specialize in developmental editing, but also enjoy line editing and copyediting. Need more info? See my booklet, Levels of Editing.

Looking for a cost estimate? Send me an email with the word count and subject matter. For poetry, send me the number of poems and the page count. Each project has unique challenges and features that generic quoting by page or by word count cannot accommodate.

The Mop-up Package

  • Proofreading is examining material after layout or in its final format to correct errors in textual and visual elements.

  • Every publisher, journal, or magazine has its own preferences on how to submit, how to structure a pitch letter, and how to prepare a submission package. I can assist you with making a good first impression—from drafting a pitch letter to finding a suitable publisher for your work.

    NOTE: I cannot guarantee publication.

“Peter’s copy-edits are excellent . . . many of his comments in the manuscript were questions my argument raised for him . . . perceptive in ways that I’ve never encountered from a copy-editor.”
